About the position

The Operations Manager position at ADL Delivery is responsible for providing operational support within the operations department. This role involves conducting route analyses, managing driver check-ins, reconciling returns, and overseeing dispatch functions. The Operations Manager will also handle inbound and outbound freight reconciliation and conduct contractor meetings to assess service needs, requiring independent judgment and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct, evaluate and implement route analyses geared towards improving efficiencies while reducing operating costs
• Maintain adequate daily staffing to meet customer needs
• Communicate with customers regarding delays, mistakes and other service issues
• Ensure compliance with corporate and legal standards through proper documentation
• Serve as a liaison to other departments and offices to resolve issues pertaining to shipments, customers, compliance, etc.
• Dispatch and coordinate all daily delivery requirements, serving as a backup to all routes if necessary
• Responsible for facility upkeep and equipment maintenance including scheduling repairs, ordering supplies, and ensuring security of the warehouse
• Conduct contractor meetings to determine the service needs to ADL at a given time
• Reconcile CODs and prepare bank deposits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems
• Forklift experience
• Dispatch experience
• Clean driving record
