About the position

The Operations Manager at ASM Global is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of all facility equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and fire suppression systems. This role ensures the facility is safe, functional, and ready for events by managing repairs, conducting inspections, and maintaining accurate inventory of supplies. The Operations Manager also assists with event setup and cleaning tasks, ensuring a high standard of facility management.

Responsibilities

  • Operates, monitors, repairs and maintains all facility systems and equipment.
  • Inspects and tests all systems throughout the facility to detect malfunctions or breakdowns.
  • Diagnoses causes and locates the source of problems in facility systems.
  • Follows and adheres to all safety/maintenance precautions, policies, and procedures; ensures adherence to OSHA, NFPA and other applicable safety codes.
  • Maintains and keeps accurate inventory of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing supplies, spare parts, shop tools and equipment.
  • Records and logs all work performed using maintenance software and compiles all required reports in a timely manner.
  • Assists other Operations Department staff to expedite maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Assists with the planning, implementing, and supervision of projects and events.
  • Performs basic building repairs and maintenance including painting, wall repair, and equipment installations.
  • Manages setup and takedown of flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, and other equipment for events.
  • Manages snow/ice removal around the building during winter months.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 4 years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience with managing staff is preferred.
  • Proficient in Windows and MS Office applications.
  • Possess any licenses, certificates or training required by local, state or national authorities for the operation of the equipment found at the facility.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in an arena or stadium maintenance environment is preferred.
  • Tradesman license in one or more building trades is preferred.
