About the position

The Operations Manager at Evolve Treatment Centers is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of two residential treatment programs for teens struggling with substance use and mental health disorders. This role includes managing staff, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and supporting client admissions and discharges. The Operations Manager will collaborate with various departments to maintain a positive workplace culture and ensure the facilities are well-maintained and operationally efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding of clinical and nonclinical staff in collaboration with Human Resources and Scheduling Coordinators.
  • Provide direct supervision to 25+ Residential Counselors, Overnight Counselors, and a Chef.
  • Model a positive, inclusive workplace environment and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Conduct write-ups, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews for staff in collaboration with the Clinical Director.
  • Provide ongoing training, guidance, and mentorship to Residential Counselors.
  • Lead on-site tours for new staff as part of Evolve University.
  • Ensure timeclock functionality and monitor staff clocking in/out and breaks.
  • Identify training needs for counselors and chefs and facilitate necessary training sessions.
  • Review Overnight Kugadi checks and ensure overnight tasks are completed.
  • Provide operations updates in Treatment Team meetings.
  • Ensure facility compliance with accreditation and program standards, including CCLD, CARF, and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Oversee facility safety protocols and ensure emergency supplies and equipment are maintained.
  • Update the weekly house calendar with relevant information.
  • Submit Incident Reports and participate in debriefing as needed.
  • Oversee facility purchasing and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with food labeling and storage standards in the kitchen.
  • Monitor and oversee Chef and Facility Budgets.
  • Assist with food transportation between programs and ensure the staff office is organized.
  • Coordinate repairs and upkeep needs of the facility with the Director of Facility Operations.
  • Assist with client supervision and counselor duties during staff shortages.
  • Facilitate client admits and discharges and resolve client issues using multidisciplinary strategies.
  • Assist with transporting clients for off-site medical appointments as needed.
  • Organize weekly client outings and coordinate discharge surveys.

Requirements

  • Previous supervision and management experience required.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, staff, and supervisors.
  • Professional demeanor and appropriate boundaries with staff and clients.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and respond to emergencies appropriately.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to pass a LiveScan background check and clear federal and state criminal background checks.
  • Willingness to interact with COVID-positive clients as needed.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.
