About the position

The Operations Manager at K1 Speed is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the indoor kart racing center, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage staff effectively, maintain high operational standards, and enhance customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations within the center, leading staff to exemplify K1 standards.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, discipline, and terminate staff as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines and state health inspection regulations.
  • Handle cash management duties including preparation of tills and deposits.
  • Maintain up-to-date state and federal permits and licenses for the facility.
  • Ensure adherence to alcohol ordinances and retention of staff permits.
  • Complete monthly retention of work-related documentation and provide corporate with invoices.
  • Ensure cashier personnel adhere to cash handling procedures and sell effectively.
  • Oversee the safe and efficient operation of kart races by track personnel.
  • Complete daily Manager Objectives as required by the company.
  • Maintain the highest standard of facility appearance and operational feasibility.
  • Conduct weekly inventories and manage food, part, and labor costs.
  • Execute marketing promotions to build the brand and generate revenue.
  • Provide timely information to the sales team to assist in booking parties.
  • Evaluate management performance and provide reports to the Regional Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Associates in Business or Hospitality preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • 5+ years of Food and Beverage experience unless internal candidate.
  • 7 years previous management experience with a successful track record, preferably in restaurant, entertainment, or hospitality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in entertainment management (2 years preferred).
  • Experience in restaurant management (5 years preferred).
