About the position

The Operations Manager at Crunch Fitness is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the gym, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, customer service, and staff management. This role involves hiring, training, and developing support staff, as well as managing member interactions and operational issues. The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the gym's unique and entertaining environment while meeting company standards and directives.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring, terminating, scheduling, training, and developing support staff including front desk, maintenance, and kids crunch.
  • Conducting a minimum of 3 daily club walkthroughs to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ensuring the highest levels of customer service with all member interactions and touchpoints.
  • Assisting in the collection of member payments.
  • Ensuring the execution of all company and club initiatives.
  • Meeting deadlines for all company reports and directives.
  • Professionally handling member concerns related to operations, contract requests, and billing.
  • Demonstrating the ability to operate company tracking and operating systems.
  • Ensuring the club meets standards for maintenance, safety, security, and physical plant operations.
  • Conducting walkthroughs of the club with the club mechanic and forwarding relevant information to handle operations issues.
  • Reporting all equipment and facility issues by utilizing company procedures.
  • Ensuring visible maintenance items have proper signage posted.
  • Training opening and closing managers to prepare the club for operational readiness.
  • Executing the processing/submission and approval of payroll.
  • Managing employee relation matters such as time and attendance, professional conduct, and work performance.
  • Establishing controls of expenses and purchasing of club supplies and maintaining them at or below budget.
  • Following up for quick turnaround of items in disrepair.
  • Demonstrating the ability to articulate variances in expenses versus budget.
  • Communicating effectively with above club personnel and holding weekly and individual meetings with all key club personnel.

Requirements

  • At least one year of club/gym experience preferred.
  • At least one year of management experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English with proficient reading and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to successfully multi-task.
  • Good follow-up skills.
