About the position

The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that the company's operational processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with strategic objectives. This role involves strategic planning, operational oversight, team leadership, budget management, process improvement, risk management, collaboration, vendor management, customer experience, and performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the executive team to set operational goals and develop strategies that align with the company’s vision and long-term objectives.
  • Implement policies and systems to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Manage and oversee daily business operations, ensuring that departments are working efficiently and meeting performance metrics.
  • Oversee production, logistics, supply chain management, and other operational areas critical to the business.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the operations team, ensuring that each department is effectively resourced.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, performance accountability, and team collaboration.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
  • Monitor expenses and optimize operational costs without sacrificing service quality or efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and innovation to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Implement best practices and drive lean methodologies to improve workflow and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Ensure that the organization complies with all applicable regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to address operational challenges and minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, marketing, sales, and HR, to ensure smooth cross-functional operations.
  • Report regularly to the CEO or executive board on operational performance and propose corrective actions when necessary.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts and partnerships that align with operational goals.
  • Ensure that operational processes support high-quality customer service and meet customer expectations.
  • Monitor product or service quality and implement measures to address any performance issues.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
  • Regularly review operational performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in a relevant industry.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes and performance metrics.
  • Experience in budget management and cost optimization.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective operational strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
