About the position

The Operations Manager at BrightView Landscapes is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency and smooth functioning. This role involves process improvement, team leadership, labor management, procurement, safety compliance, performance reporting, customer service, project management, resource planning, and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current operational processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency.
  • Manage and supervise staff, providing training, development, and performance evaluations while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Manage weekly and monthly labor planning, monitor expenses, and allocate resources efficiently to meet financial targets.
  • Ensure effective procurement of products and manage inventory levels to meet demand without overstocking.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company safety standards, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and report progress to the Branch Manager.
  • Ensure operations support excellent customer service and jobsite quality, addressing any operational issues impacting customer satisfaction.
  • Lead or contribute to operational projects aimed at improving the business and coordinate teams to achieve growth and operational goals.
  • Oversee resource allocation, forecasting operational needs, and planning for future requirements.
  • Serve as a bridge between various branch departments to ensure smooth operations and communicate operational excellence strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a landscape or business-related field or equivalent experience in a similar service industry.
  • Minimum 7 years in the construction or landscaping industry.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of management experience within the landscape or service industry.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and programs including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, FSM, BrightPath.
  • Experience with mobile applications and software for operational tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to create and foster a team-oriented environment.
