About the position

The Operations Manager at QVC is responsible for overseeing inbound or outbound operations within a fulfillment center. This role focuses on maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity while fostering continuous improvement. The Operations Manager will build and lead teams, develop operational procedures, and ensure effective inventory management, all while reporting to the Senior Manager of Fulfillment Center Operations.

Responsibilities

• Build the initial teams, establishing procedures, metrics, and processes.
• Lead a team of Area Managers and hourly associates.
• Develop and administer operational procedures for incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Guide strategic planning and forecasting.
• Develop teammates for career progression and learning.
• Create a positive team dynamic that encourages collaboration among employees in the fulfillment center.
• Improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery while expanding capabilities within the warehouse.
• Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to enhance order fulfillment and operational insights.

Requirements

• B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent additional experience.
• 4+ years of management experience in fulfillment center/warehouse operations, preferably in retail/e-commerce and apparel.
• Experience effectively motivating, developing, and managing 50+ employees.
• At least 3 years of management experience in Receiving, Inventory Control, or Order Fulfillment.
• Experience with building or improving inventory management, order management, and warehouse management systems and processes.
• Strong project management and continuous improvement skills.
• Experience using Kaizens and process improvement methodologies.
