About the position

The Operations Manager at Safe Fleet is responsible for overseeing employee safety, ensuring quality in manufacturing, meeting production targets, and managing labor utilization. This role focuses on order fulfillment, cost reduction, and continuous improvement within the operations, while leading a team to enhance productivity and maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety training is complete and all safety responsibilities for the site are met.
• Schedule production and installation activities.
• Supervise daily labor to meet production and customer requirements within budget.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and provide key production metric updates.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing implementation and process improvement activities.
• Manage and develop plant employees to maintain effective operations.
• Interface with other departments to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Drive quality improvement and support procedure accountability.
• Develop and implement measures to improve production methods and efficiency.
• Participate in new product development and support production requirements.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving them.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Manage hiring and training of new staff.
• Handle routine Human Resource duties with assistance from the HR Manager.

Requirements

• 6 years of experience with ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong computer skills
• Senior level experience in Lean manufacturing
