About the position

The Operations Manager at Chambers & Chambers Wine Merchants is responsible for enhancing operational efficiency within the company. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales & Operations, the role involves analyzing processes, managing vendor relations, overseeing special projects, and collaborating with leadership to implement best practices across departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in the wine industry and a strong background in operations management.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide recommendations for products or services requiring resource commitments in conjunction with the Vice President of Sales & Operations.
• Oversee vendor relations, management, and review of contract renewal content and timelines.
• Maintain the corporate calendar with license, permit, and certificate renewals, ensuring timely completion by communicating with all departments.
• Develop strategies to meet organizational goals.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic management initiatives to ensure proper operational controls and administrative procedures are in place.
• Manage project timelines and workflows for the leadership team, tracking progress to ensure deadlines are met across departments.
• Issue RFPs for insurance quotes on workers compensation and general liability coverage, and implement effective safety programs to reduce claims.
• Collaborate with Warehouse Operations to analyze opportunities for increased efficiency and measure effectiveness.
• Handle special projects and reporting as needed.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
• Previous titles held: Director of Operations, Operations Manager, or other relevant titles.
• Proficiency in streamlining organizational processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
• Experience in high level reporting using Excel and Microsoft tools and other software platforms.
• Keen understanding and development of best practices.
• Bachelor or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Operations or related field preferred.
