About the position

The Operations Manager at Allied Universal is responsible for overseeing staffing, scheduling, and payroll processing for Security Professionals at assigned client sites. This role involves maintaining communication with staff, managing employee performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining employee morale and operational efficiency within the division or branch.

Responsibilities

  • Interview and hire qualified applicants to fill open post positions in a proactive and timely manner.
  • Evaluate low-performing employees for replacement, upgrade, or transfer.
  • Maintain and publish weekly Open Post List and actively manage job openings within the division/branch.
  • Create, modify, and manage post schedules in Winteam to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  • Ensure schedules are properly maintained in WinTeam and updated regularly.
  • Receive weekly time-sheets and update Winteam schedules as necessary.
  • Run bi-weekly payroll according to company procedures and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Conduct disciplinary and counseling sessions with Security Professionals as needed.
  • Maintain regular proactive contact with Security Professionals to ensure effective utilization and training.
  • Prepare and run all required reports as directed by managers.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of professional-level experience managing non-exempt employees in a fast-paced service organization.
  • Ability to secure a valid Guard License if required by the state.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to write effective and concise reports and document investigations and counseling sessions.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior security industry and/or military experience.
  • College degree or coursework.
  • Experience in scheduling, operations, and/or employee management in a service-related industry.
