About the position

The Operations Manager at CEVA Logistics is responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring high levels of service, profitability, and cost efficiency while adhering to company and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing inbound and outbound logistics, directing operations staff, and maintaining a safe and professional working environment. The Operations Manager will also coach and mentor direct reports, ensuring compliance with operational directives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and manage inbound and/or outbound site operations to ensure service agreements are met or exceeded.
• Maximize profitability through superior customer service and effective communication.
• Plan and monitor daily staffing schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Communicate directives, rules, and procedures to all operations staff.
• Implement and maintain safety methods, practices, and programs.
• Inspect and schedule maintenance to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Manage administrative functions to ensure compliance and timely processing of paperwork.
• Coach, train, and mentor direct reports, providing career development opportunities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Minimum five years related experience; minimum three years supervisory or managerial experience.
• Valid state issued Driver's License and Forklift Driver Certification required.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-specific software applications.
• Ability to allocate work assignments and manage financial aspects of a department.

Nice-to-haves

• Other professional certifications may be required.
• Experience in the logistics industry preferred.
