About the position

Grassmaster Plus, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to collaborate closely with the President and CEO to influence the company's direction and strategy. The role focuses on developing systems and processes to attract and retain a skilled team of technicians while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in operations. Responsibilities include managing materials, inventory, scheduling, fleet management, equipment maintenance, and the annual budget.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement successful recruitment and onboarding strategies to attract and hire qualified technicians.
• Manage all aspects of staff development to retain and support top talent through effective training programs and mentorship.
• Monitor and review staff performance against production goals and organize necessary interventions for improvement.
• Establish systems for managing inventory, tracking materials, and enforcing safety and quality protocols.
• Evaluate and improve efficiency in technician scheduling and routing using technology and route planning software.
• Oversee the management and maintenance of the company's fleet of vehicles and equipment.
• Develop and maintain the annual budget with recommendations for cost-saving measures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management or logistics.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience in the lawn care industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in budget development and execution.
• General computer skills and ability to master specific software like 'Real Green'.
