About the position

The Operations Manager at Kept Companies is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient completion of work for assigned routes, balancing office-related tasks with field activities. This role requires strong management skills, as the Operations Manager will lead a team, ensure quality control, and maintain safety and environmental compliance while achieving operational efficiency. The position involves significant driving and manual labor, alongside administrative duties such as scheduling and billing.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and leading route team members to achieve high customer satisfaction through quality control.
• Leading the team in adherence to safety and environmental compliance standards.
• Completing all assigned work efficiently while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Validating and completing the weekly schedule by Sunday.
• Reconciling daily work and routes immediately after dispatch.
• Billing and reconciling all wages by 9AM Tuesday for the previous week.
• Aiding in hiring, promotion, discipline, and other HR-related activities.
• Overseeing onboarding training and day-to-day activities of route employees.
• Responding to operational problems in the field, including breakdowns and injuries.
• Ensuring regular service and preparation of all assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Correcting customer complaints and responding to emergencies.
• Assisting or leading monthly team safety meetings.

Requirements

• Management experience in a dynamic work environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs and ability to learn Fleetwash operations software.
• Ability to self-manage and accomplish multiple tasks and goals within the work week.
• Experience in overseeing employees of varied skill levels.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the commercial cleaning or maintenance industry.
• Familiarity with scheduling and billing workflows.
