About the position

Vulcan Spring is seeking an Operations Leader to manage day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals through effective strategy implementation and process management. This role involves overseeing various functions including Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supply Chain to maximize productivity and performance while promoting a culture of safety and health.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
• Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal-setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
• Develop and implement business strategies and plans that align with short- and long-term objectives.
• Oversee operations, infrastructure, and engineering functions to ensure all goals are met based on the company's strategic plans.
• Manage capital investments and expenses to achieve targets for growth and profitability.
• Maintain knowledge of the company's key financial performance and work with the finance team on cash flow projections and reporting.
• Navigate cultural and process changes while maintaining an engaged workforce.
• Ensure successful new product launches through clear development and process capability definition.
• Champion a safety culture and ensure a safe work environment.
• Represent the company with customers and business partners as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; proven experience in manufacturing management.
• Minimum 7 years management experience, with 5 years in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
