About the position

Leidos Dynetics is seeking a Materials Analyst to join a diverse team that supports the assembly of Electronics Assemblies. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth movement of materials in and out of labs, as well as addressing any kit shortages or problems that may arise during the assembly process. The candidate will work closely with production control, lab managers, and lab technicians to support project delivery schedules and meet due dates. The position is based in Huntsville, AL, and is a full-time opportunity within a company that provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions across various sectors including defense, space, and cyber fields. The Materials Analyst will be responsible for tracking and moving electronic subassemblies between various locations such as electronic assembly labs, quality inspection labs, stockrooms, and shipping docks. This movement is essential to meet quality, safety, and delivery goals. The role involves performing all necessary computer transactions to document material movements in the corporate quality and accounting systems. The candidate will utilize visual management standards for labeling and staging totes of subassemblies, ensuring that work in process counts are accurate and up to date. Additionally, the position may require generating serial numbers for subassemblies, organizing and verifying kits, and prepping parts for use as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a team environment and interacting with various functions, including project teams and production teams. This collaborative approach is vital for the successful execution of responsibilities and achieving project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Track and move electronic subassemblies between electronic assembly labs, quality inspection labs, stockrooms, and shipping docks.
  • Perform all associated computer transactions necessary to document material movements in corporate quality and accounting systems.
  • Utilize visual management standards for labeling and staging totes of subassemblies.
  • Ensure that work in process counts are accurate and up to date.
  • Generate serial numbers for subassemblies as required.
  • Organize and verify kits for assembly.
  • Prep parts for use as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • One year experience in inventory management or materials management.
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in materials module of Costpoint.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
