As an Operations Planning Analyst at Corning, you will play a crucial role in supporting the tactical and long-term capacity planning processes. Your primary responsibilities will include developing analyses for special melt requests and collecting assumptions for various supply scenarios, ensuring that these tasks are completed according to the standard schedule. You will also be responsible for creating ad-hoc customer supply and capacity plans to support customer forecasts, which may involve incorporating internal and external projects and evaluating the impact of development line time requests. In addition to these tasks, you will support the introduction of new customer products into the established planning tool, which includes developing the planning process flow and implementing any necessary tool enhancements. You will be tasked with annually developing the current year's supply gap analysis tool and leading the planning interface on customer sample requests. This involves modeling, planning, and tracking the operational execution of key customer sample and development deliverables. Your role will also encompass managing Gorilla Glass inventory, which includes establishing and maintaining operating inventory targets, improving ongoing inventory visibility and tracking, and publishing monthly updates. You will need to highlight at-risk inventory trends and develop an improvement portfolio in collaboration with the Commercial team. As the planning project lead on business inventory projects and committees, you will ensure the data integrity of the inventory dashboard and develop expertise in executing supply and capacity plans using the Division's planning tool, Arkieva. You will also participate in manufacturing assumptions collection forums and develop knowledge of key assumptions documents to assist in tactical and supply planning. Supporting Gorilla and planning process improvement projects will be part of your responsibilities, along with completing various data analysis projects as required.
