About the position

The Operations & Policy Analyst 4, Real Property Manager position at the Oregon Department of Corrections is primarily responsible for providing commercial real estate expertise and representation. This role involves managing real estate transactions, development, and the efficient utilization of the Department's real property portfolio. The analyst will lead all related transactions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and will coordinate comprehensive studies of real estate policies and practices in collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial real estate expertise and representation for the Department of Corrections.
• Lead all real estate transactions related to the Department of Corrections.
• Ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, practices, and budgets in real estate dealings.
• Manage and coordinate comprehensive studies of real estate policy and practices.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to foster improvements and influence policy and legislation.
• Apply critical thinking and excellent writing skills to develop strategies and action plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science, or a related field.
• Five years of professional-level evaluative, analytical, and planning work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling eight years.
• Experience in contract management and property management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of advanced commercial real estate principles and finance.
