The Operations Program Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting Team USA's success by serving as a primary liaison for short-term OPTC programs. This position involves coordinating training and competition schedules, managing program requirements, and ensuring effective communication among various stakeholders, including coaches, NGB program leaders, and community agencies. The coordinator is responsible for overseeing program logistics, maintaining accurate records, and evaluating program effectiveness to enhance future operations.

  • Serve as a primary liaison to all short-term OPTC programs to fulfill training and competition requirements.
  • Assist with organization, management, and policy implementation within the department.
  • Coordinate with NGB staff and community organizations for optimal training center usage.
  • Act as the lead coordinator for OPTC short-term programs, managing training and competition schedules.
  • Develop and maintain communication with NGB program coordinators/coaches to ensure program requirements are met.
  • Respond to changing needs before and during programs, coordinating with various departments to implement changes effectively.
  • Develop billing statements and prepare final invoices for programs based on funding status.
  • Ensure accurate program records, including roster updates and schedule adjustments.
  • Reserve appropriate meeting rooms for programs and resolve conflicts as needed.
  • Administer requirements for OPTC paperwork, SafeSport training, and Background Checks.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of events and programs, providing recommendations for future needs.
  • Oversee data entry and report generation using the Star Rez system.
  • Assist in coordinating program requests for training specials and special guests.
  • Coordinate Facility Use programs with NGBs and distribute updates to support staff.
  • Provide work direction to the Athlete Center Registration Desk regarding programming.
  • Participate in staff meetings to share information and ideas with the Operations team.
  • Guide Operations support staff on athlete programming and operations policies.
  • Develop and implement housing for upcoming OPTC short-term programs.
  • Attend weekly program meetings and participate in housekeeping meetings to improve service delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management or Athletic Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a sports organization.
  • Experience working with athletes, coaches, and volunteers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task various projects effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal relations skills and sound judgment with a focus on customer service.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, database management, and email.
  • Work lead/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Annual Incentive Award Program eligibility with a 5% target.
  • Full-time, non-exempt position with a pay range of $22.65 - $24.50 per hour.
  • Eligibility for USOPC benefits.
