About the position

The Operations Program Manager & Business Planner at Allison Transmission is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive Program Plan in collaboration with various functional teams. This role involves coordinating launch activities, managing change implementation, and ensuring program delivery meets safety, quality, and cost requirements. The position requires strong leadership and organizational skills to maintain program timing and quality across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a Program Plan utilizing the Operations Program Management (OPM) Playbook.
  • Coordinate launch activities and change management implementation for production phases.
  • Represent commercial plants on the Product Line Team and communicate changes effectively.
  • Collaborate with Operations on the Integrated Program Management 3.0 quality lane and program quality launch deliverables.
  • Develop and execute re-manufacturing/warranty processes focused on commercial plants.
  • Maintain program timing, cost, and quality through collaboration across the organization.
  • Organize, schedule, and conduct internal launch and gate reviews to highlight deliverables affecting program outcomes.
  • Utilize the Recovery Plan effectively to maintain program deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or Finance.
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of best practices in automotive or equipment manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles for machining and assembly operations.
