About the position

As a Project Manager at Enbridge, you will play a crucial role in managing projects through their full lifecycle, from scope development to in-service. This position requires you to develop project scopes based on internal customer needs and prepare comprehensive project estimates that include labor, equipment, and materials. You will be responsible for navigating the budget approval process and developing project execution plans that ensure the successful delivery of projects. Your role will also involve coordinating all project permitting, material specifications, procurement, and design, as well as participating in and leading design reviews. In addition to project management, you will develop construction scopes-of-work, schedules, hydro-test plans, and other project-specific documents. Maintaining project budgets and cost forecasts will be a key responsibility, as will selecting and managing inspectors and construction contractors, including the bidding process as required. You will need to prioritize work effectively and identify opportunities for project or program synergies, while also developing a keen awareness of interrelationships with stakeholders. Your role will also include supervising and assisting during emergency response activities, participating in the region's safety program, and assisting region employees and other internal departments with resolving procedural, technical, and compliance issues. You will support due diligence efforts for mergers and acquisitions as needed and assist U.S. Projects personnel with large capital projects that impact the region. Providing emergency and operations call-out support will also be part of your responsibilities, as you manage a range of multiple assignments simultaneously, completing objectives effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner. You will be expected to demonstrate broad business and technical knowledge in resolving problems and be able to work independently on complex technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects through the full project lifecycle from scope development through in-service.
  • Develop project scope based on internal customer needs.
  • Prepare complete project estimates, including labor, equipment, and materials, and follow through the budget approval process.
  • Develop project execution plans.
  • Coordinate all project permitting, material specification and procurement, and design.
  • Participate in and/or lead design reviews.
  • Develop construction scopes-of-work, schedules, hydro-test plans, and other project specific documents.
  • Maintain project budgets and cost forecasts.
  • Select and manage inspectors and construction contractors, including bidding work as required.
  • Prioritize work and identify opportunities for project or program synergies.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of operational project experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal and computer skills.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to prioritize heavy workloads.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction science.
  • Project Management experience.
