About the position

The Operations Project Coordinator at Miratech Group, LLC plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of various projects within the organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple small to medium-sized projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on the overall objectives of each project. The coordinator will be responsible for attending internal coordination meetings and kick-off meetings for each project, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle. In this role, the coordinator will become familiar with the entire MIRATECH product line and processes, which is essential for effective project management. They will work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Project Management teams to prepare project budgets and track actual versus budgeted costs and revenues, with assistance from the accounting department. The coordinator will also create internal jobs within the ERP system to track project costs and maintain purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring that all financial aspects of the projects are managed effectively. Communication is key in this role, as the coordinator will need to liaise with external vendors regarding the status of projects moving through fabrication and report any issues internally to the Engineering and Project Management teams. Additionally, the coordinator will manage scope changes that may affect the project's schedule, cost, and revenue. At the time of project shipment, they will coordinate shipping and job closure activities, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making this a dynamic and engaging position within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Attend internal coordination meetings as needed and kick-off meetings for each project.
  • Become familiar with the entire MIRATECH product line and processes.
  • Work with Sales, Engineering, and Project Management on preparation of project budget and track actual vs. budget costs and revenues (with assistance from accounting) through project lifecycle.
  • Create internal jobs within our ERP system to track project costs and maintain purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Communicate with external vendors on status of project moving through fabrication and report any issues internally to Engineering, Project Management, etc.
  • Manage scope changes which affect schedule, cost, revenue, etc.
  • At project shipment, coordinate shipping, job closure, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Detail oriented while able to look at the 'big picture' of a project.
  • Ability to manage multiple small to medium sized projects at a time.
  • BA/BS in a relevant major from an accredited college/university.
  • 0-4 years prior project management experience or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Only local travel required.
  • Positive attitude with a good sense of humor.
