About the position

The Operations Project Manager III at Jabil is responsible for leading strategic initiatives for defined customers, managing multi-functional project teams, and enhancing customer relationships. This role involves full accountability for project schedules, performance requirements, and ensuring project objectives are met effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and lead strategic initiatives for defined customers.
  • Provide management and guidance to multi-functional project teams.
  • Manage and enhance customer relationships.
  • Ensure all project requirements and objectives are correctly gathered and understood.
  • Build teams to address project goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with customers from requirements gathering through product acceptance.
  • Align project teams to customer needs by establishing milestones and objectives.
  • Review project schedules with functional project managers and coordinators.
  • Provide guidance and motivation to project teams to achieve project goals.
  • Communicate project objectives in terms of overall strategic business objectives.
  • Serve as interface with customers, vendors, stakeholders, and project sponsors.
  • Manage development of project plans focusing on project goals and corporate initiatives.
  • Recognize and manage project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Drive projects to completion in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Coordinate efforts to develop integrated project plans and risk analyses.
  • Manage resource capacity and time tracking for projects.
  • Participate in financial management and analysis of project costs.
  • Accountable for overall project success including cost, schedule, quality, and scope management.
  • Report project status, issues, and implemented solutions to leaders.
  • Identify potential problem areas and implement alternative solutions.
  • Identify best cost solutions to reduce costs by streamlining processes.
  • Provide stakeholders with regular project performance status and corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting and metrics management.
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer service and solve problems effectively.
  • Drive effective communication through various mediums.
  • Comply with company security policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required (Supply Chain Management or Engineering).
  • Minimum 2 years work-related experience in a supervisory/management role.
  • Minimum 2 years project management experience or related discipline.
  • PMP certification is desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of organization's operating policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of organization's culture and guiding principles.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in customer interface.
  • Strong operational and financial knowledge required.
  • Substantial knowledge of Jabil and ability to leverage the organization.
  • Consultative skills to understand true customer needs.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Distinctive problem-solving leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification desirable.
