About the position

The Operations and Project Support Specialist at the University of New Hampshire is responsible for managing the reception area of the Registrar's Office, ensuring smooth daily operations while providing essential support for departmental projects. This role emphasizes excellent customer service to students and faculty, effective management of student employees, and assistance to department leadership in various operational tasks. The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the reception area of the Office of the Registrar to ensure high-level customer service for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Provide support to visitors regarding departmental processes, policies, and facilitate warm transfers to other departments when necessary.
  • Manage a team of student employees, including hiring, training, and ongoing management to ensure quality service.
  • Support department leadership with the implementation of the Workday Student SIS, including organizing schedules and meeting preparations.
  • Assist with Curriculum and Catalog projects through data entry and tracking assignments in the Workflow.
  • Support transfer affairs projects with data entry, reporting, and content management for the TES program.
  • Manage office operations to ensure successful daily functions, including vendor interactions and new staff onboarding.

Requirements

  • Experience with administrative tasks in an office environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage and train student employees.
