About the position

The Operations and Project Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the reception area within the Registrar's Office at the University of New Hampshire. This position involves managing administrative tasks, providing excellent service to students and faculty/staff, and supporting departmental projects. The specialist will oversee a group of student employees, ensuring the reception area is organized and efficient while assisting department leadership with various operational tasks. The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the reception area of the Office of the Registrar to ensure high-level customer service for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Provide support to visitors regarding departmental processes, policies, and facilitate warm transfers to other departments when necessary.
  • Manage a team of student employees, including hiring, training, and ongoing management to ensure quality service.
  • Support department leadership with the implementation of the Workday Student SIS, including organizing schedules and meeting preparations.
  • Assist with Curriculum and Catalog projects through data entry and tracking assignments in the Workflow.
  • Support transfer affairs projects with data entry, reporting, and content management for the TES program.
  • Manage office operations to ensure successful day-to-day functions, including vendor interactions and onboarding new staff.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher education level.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in an administrative or support role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Banner or Workday SIS.
