About the position

The Operations Property & Lease Compliance Manager at Vantage Data Centers is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of owned properties in the North America portfolio. This role ensures compliance with permitting and licensing, manages customer contractual documentation, and audits compliance against contractual deliverables. The position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong legal and data center operations background, focusing on customer relationship management and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a comprehensive database of all data center contractual documentation, agreements, amendments, and communications.
  • Review and understand customer contractual agreements to identify and track all relevant requirements related to the data center facilities.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of customer contractual terms, financial obligations, deliverables, and compliance obligations.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure compliance with data center operations, including power usage and maintenance.
  • Analyze financial aspects of data center lease agreements, ensuring all billable items are tracked and recorded.
  • Create and manage a customer contractual deliverables audit process to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, including space and power commitments and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to lease terms and conditions.
  • Generate regular reports on data center lease compliance and performance metrics.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to address and resolve contractual-related issues.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance property management and customer contractual processes and implement improvements.
  • Partner with Site Deployment to ensure site readiness according to lease requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Law, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
  • 7+ years of lease administration law experience, preferably in a data center or technology-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of lease agreements, commercial real estate principles, and accounting standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting multiple goals or deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with data center operations, including power and cooling requirements, security protocols, and industry certifications.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
