About the position

The City of Eugene's Employee Resource Center (ERC) is seeking an Operations Recruitment Coordinator who is enthusiastic about making a difference in the community and enjoys working in a dynamic team environment. This role is pivotal in guiding candidates through the recruitment process, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, and fostering strong partnerships across various departments and divisions within the City of Eugene. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening best practices in recruitment, developing and maintaining both internal and external partnerships, and enhancing customer experiences while adhering to compliance with fair hiring and selection processes. As part of the ERC team, the Operations Recruitment Coordinator will engage in a variety of tasks that include assisting with the administration of workers' compensation, liability, property, unemployment, and recovery claims. The role requires analyzing claims data and implementing enterprise risk management strategies, promoting customer trust by maintaining confidentiality, and drafting and updating processes for improved Total Worker Health (TWH) and wellbeing. The coordinator will also administer the Safety Incident Reporting system workflows and provide administrative support to the Enterprise Risk Management team, which includes payment processing and insurance renewals. Responsibilities

  • Guide candidates through the recruitment process and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Collaborate with various departments and divisions to strengthen best practices in recruitment.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external partnerships.
  • Assist with the administration of workers' compensation, liability, property, unemployment, and recovery claims.
  • Answer claims inquiries by providing procedural and claims process information.
  • Analyze claims data and assist with implementation of enterprise risk management and Total Worker Health® strategies.
  • Promote customer trust and confidence by maintaining confidentiality regarding all aspects of claims processing.
  • Draft, update, and recommend researched processes and procedures for improved TWH and wellbeing.
  • Administer Safety Incident Reporting system workflows through Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Provide administrative support to the Enterprise Risk Management team, including payment processing and insurance renewals.
  • Support bargaining and/or grievance responses through data collection and reporting.
  • Analyze recommendations based on worker's compensation, employee safety, general liability, and unemployment claims policies for contract negotiations.
  • Process, track, and implement multiple complex projects and deadlines.
  • Prepare and distribute various reports periodically and as requested.
  • Effectively deliver engaging presentations and training.

Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency is required.
  • Mid-level experience with at least 2 years in a relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
  • Experience in claims administration and risk management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in public sector recruitment.
  • Knowledge of Total Worker Health® strategies.
  • Familiarity with Power Automate and Power Apps.
