About the position

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to join our Operations Research and Cyber Analysis (ORCA) Group. This position is critical in delivering high-impact, technical solutions to complex national security issues. The ORCA Group employs simulation system products to support operations, experimentation, and the acquisition analysis process. As an Operations Research Analyst, you will apply Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools to identify and analyze trends in big data, solving real-world problems that affect national security. In this role, you will work independently and collaboratively within project teams to develop digital models of complex real-world systems using both commercial and proprietary software tools. You will design, build, and execute constructive simulations while applying best practices in the design of experiments. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you analyze and synthesize large data sets using various analytic frameworks and statistical methods. You will also support the preparation of deliverables, including presentations and written reports, to effectively communicate your analysis-based findings and recommendations to sponsors and stakeholders. Balancing tasks across multiple projects concurrently and regularly communicating progress or challenges to task leads will be essential to your success in this role. At SPA, we are committed to providing a robust total compensation package that attracts and retains top talent. This includes competitive base pay, variable compensation opportunities, and a variety of benefit programs such as health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time off.
