About the position
The Operations Research Analyst Intermediate II at JANUS Research Group will engage in complex cost analysis assignments to support life cycle cost estimates (LCCE) and program office estimates (POE). This role demands strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant cost assessments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis assignments to support the development of life cycle cost estimates (LCCE) and program office estimates (POE).
- Develop and evaluate cost assessments and cost positions related to systems development, demonstration, and production approaches.
- Analyze the impact on systems and program costs, including detailed analyses of prototype systems.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) that can withstand scrutiny at Army and DoD levels.
- Serve as a working leader to lower-grade personnel, providing expert technical guidance and ensuring quality and accuracy in their work.
- Review, assist, and mentor lower-grade employees' work to maintain high standards of performance.
- Coordinate efforts with Contract Officer Representatives to ensure compliance with contract specifications and requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and information to meet programmatic and budgetary requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Industry-level cost estimating certification (e.g., ICEAA PCEA) required.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in cost estimating, specifically using ACEIT.
- Strong analytical abilities; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; effective communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; familiarity with cost analysis tools and methodologies.
