About the position

As a Business Process Analyst Advisor with General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), you will play a crucial role in transforming technology into opportunity, particularly in support of the US Navy Training. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about improving operational efficiency and enhancing the systems that matter most. You will be at the forefront of innovation, contributing to the development and implementation of business information processing systems that are vital for the agency's operations. Your expertise will help ensure that today is safe and tomorrow is smarter, as you work collaboratively with both business and technology teams. In this role, you will analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop effective solutions. You will serve as a lead analyst, providing your expertise in continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, and change management projects. Your responsibilities will include identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining the scope and objectives of various projects. You will also be tasked with identifying and eliminating duplication, exploring outsourcing opportunities, and streamlining business improvement processes. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you utilize quantitative analysis methodologies to perform data, cost, and benefit analyses, as well as process measurement analysis. You will research industry trends to apply best practices in process improvement and partner with business process owners and management on strategic initiatives. Additionally, you may be responsible for resolving complex problems escalated by lower-level consultants and developing departmental policies and procedures. Coaching and providing guidance to less-experienced professionals will also be part of your role, ensuring that knowledge and skills are effectively transferred within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop business information processing systems.
  • Coordinate with business and technology teams to ensure effective communication and project execution.
  • Serve as a lead analyst providing expertise on continuous process improvement strategies and organizational redesign.
  • Identify and analyze business needs, conduct requirements gathering, and define scope and objectives for projects.
  • Identify and eliminate duplication, explore outsourcing opportunities, and streamline business improvement processes.
  • Utilize quantitative analysis methodologies to perform data, cost, and benefit analyses, and process measurement analysis.
  • Research industry trends for application of process improvement techniques and best practices.
  • Partner with business process owners and management on strategic initiatives.
  • Resolve complex problems escalated by lower-level consultants.
  • Develop department policies and procedures as needed.
  • Coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in operations research, analysis, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in business process analysis or a similar role.
  • Experience conducting analytical studies using mathematical, statistical, and other scientific methods.
  • Specific experience in training systems, force designs, or educational programs management is required.
  • Must possess a Secret Clearance and be a US Citizen.
