About the position

As a Senior Operations Research Analyst at GMRE, you will leverage advanced analytical, mathematical, and data science techniques to enhance innovation and operational efficiency for government agencies. This role involves leading research efforts, applying cutting-edge methodologies, and delivering actionable insights to facilitate the adoption of emerging technologies and process improvements across federal programs. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to identify innovation opportunities and support decision-making with data-driven recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and refine mathematical models, simulations, and algorithms to assess the impact of innovative strategies and technologies on government operations.
  • Provide analytical support and decision-making frameworks to help agencies adopt innovative solutions, optimize resources, and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Conduct research to evaluate the latest trends in technology, innovation, and operational research, recommending data-driven strategies to incorporate emerging technologies into government operations.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams in developing and executing research projects, delivering insights that support innovation initiatives.
  • Apply a mix of quantitative and qualitative research techniques to solve complex operational problems and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify challenges, requirements, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Develop reports, visualizations, and presentations that effectively communicate research findings, model results, and recommendations to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets.
  • Experience in developing models and optimizing processes.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning, and optimization techniques.
  • Ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Experience in program and project management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence and automation technologies.
