About the position

The Operations Research Analyst (Journeyman) position at Sabre Systems involves providing systems engineering support for weapons systems at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The role focuses on technical research and development, analysis, and documentation related to the acquisition of Aircraft, Weapon, and Integrated Systems, evaluating their performance and associated risks throughout the acquisition lifecycle. The analyst will apply scientific, mathematical, and statistical methodologies to solve technological problems and will utilize mathematical modeling and analytical techniques for experiments and evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Support customers at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in systems engineering for weapons systems.
• Conduct technical research and development of technologies related to aircraft and weapon systems.
• Analyze and document the acquisition process and lifecycle of various systems.
• Evaluate technical performance and mission suitability of systems.
• Apply scientific, mathematical, and statistical methodologies to engineering problems.
• Design and execute procedures for experiments, tests, and evaluations on weapons systems.

Requirements

• Management, Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering or operations analysis position.
• Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise.
• Active DoD secret clearance required.
• Ability to pass a background investigation.
• Must be a US Citizen.
