About the position

The Operations Research Analyst at the U.S. National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of data science services to support scientific and technical intelligence applications. This role involves leading a team of data scientists to tackle complex data problems, offering technical guidance, and developing training programs. The analyst will engage with various stakeholders, including NASIC leadership and other defense entities, to promote information exchange and technical recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full range of data science services for scientific and technical intelligence applications.
  • Lead a team of Data Scientists working on complex data problems.
  • Serve as team lead providing technical guidance and advisory support to partners throughout NASIC.
  • Develop action plans, identify requirements, and present briefings and data visualizations.
  • Make technical recommendations and promote information exchanges with NASIC leadership and the Intelligence Community.
  • Integrate technical reports and documents resulting from projects or activities.
  • Represent the organization during visits with government and industry representatives.
  • Develop and implement Data Science training programs for team and Center use.
  • Establish the training plan and curriculum focus areas in collaboration with the Principal Technical Advisor.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics or other technical/systems discipline is required.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Professional knowledge of operations research, engineering, physical sciences, mathematics, or other technical/systems discipline.
  • Knowledge of operations research analysis techniques and analytical abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Intelligence Community or Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Familiarity with data science-related technologies and their impacts.
