About the position

The Operations Research Analyst at TekPro Support Services, LLC (TSS) will provide technical and analytical support services at Lackland Air Force Base. This role involves evaluating plans and programs in relation to Department of Defense (DoD) and United States Air Force (USAF) strategic objectives, formulating mathematical models, and collaborating with management to solve complex operational problems. The analyst will also be responsible for data collection and analysis, model validation, and presenting findings to decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, analytical, and support services, including analysis and evaluation of plans and programs.
• Perform analysis considering secondary and tertiary implications, projected threats, and resource constraints.
• Formulate mathematical or simulation models of problems, relating constants and variables.
• Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and reformulate as necessary.
• Collaborate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve problems.
• Present results of mathematical modeling and data analysis to management or end users.
• Collaborate with others to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
• Collect and analyze data to identify or resolve operational problems.
• Prepare management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions.
• Define data requirements and gather and validate information using statistical tests.
• Observe current systems in operation and analyze information about component problems.
• Design, conduct, and evaluate experimental operational models.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in operations research, systems analysis, or management sciences.
• 8 years of experience as an operations research analyst in the DoD.
• Certification as defined by DODI 8570 at a level appropriate to skill level.
• BS in Operations Research or Operations Research certification.
