About the position

The Operations Research Coordinator at the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health will support the STRIVE Network, which conducts significant research on infectious diseases. This role involves managing grant and contract proposals, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while collaborating with national and international partners. The position aims to enhance public health outcomes through effective research management and coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support for grant and contract proposals.
  • Manage financial reporting and administrative activities at the network level.
  • Collaborate with national and international coordinating centers and federal agencies.
  • Assist the principal investigator with negotiation and execution of research legal documents.
  • Prepare study budgets and payment schedules for ICC study coordination and participant care.
  • Finalize study payment schedules for ICC subcontracts and prepare work scopes for all subcontracts.
  • Establish vendor accounts and assist with drug distribution management.

Requirements

  • BA/BS with at least 10 years of experience or advanced degree plus 8 years of experience.
  • Extensive experience with grant/contract administration and clinical trial research.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
