About The Position
The Operations Research Specialist position is a full-time role responsible for processing customer research and legal requests within a banking environment. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks. The specialist will be involved in handling incoming customer research requests and researching legal requests such as subpoenas, levies, and garnishments. This includes resolving research problems through effective communication with other banks, Federal Reserves, affiliate banks, and customers. The specialist will also collaborate closely with staff attorneys to produce the necessary documents for subpoena requests. In addition to processing requests, the Operations Research Specialist will complete clerical work, correspondence, and data entry associated with their assignments. They will be responsible for processing account verifications and performing any other activities as assigned. The role demands a strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent customer service skills, both written and oral. The specialist must stay current on regulation changes and departmental procedures, particularly those related to the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and other relevant regulations. The working environment is generally good, with moderate exposure to noise and other factors. Some physical effort is required, including the occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds. The position also demands above-average physical coordination and mental effort, as well as the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
