Amentum is currently seeking an Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA) to join our team at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. This position is integral to supporting the Department of the Army, specifically the G-3/5/7 Operations Readiness and Mobilization Support contract. The ORSA will be responsible for analyzing information and data from various sources to identify relevant issues and determine appropriate analytical methods, including statistical analysis, simulations, and predictive modeling, to develop practical solutions to complex problems. The role involves producing and developing monthly analytical products for presentation in the Total Army Readiness Review (TARR) forum, effectively communicating the Army's readiness levels to senior leadership. The ORSA will frame and develop readiness issues for discussion with the broader “Readiness Community” in preparation for the Army's Strategic Readiness Assessment Group (SRAG) meetings, which occur weekly. This includes scheduling meetings, managing video teleconferences (VTC), maintaining contact lists, and disseminating notifications and agendas. Additionally, the ORSA will examine and evaluate the current readiness of Army units, assess their impacts, and identify options for improvement. Recommendations will be made to enhance documentation for various Army regulations and strategic policies. The position requires expertise in automated systems, enabling the translation of senior leader inquiries into meaningful analyses, and the ability to utilize existing automation systems to produce high-quality analytical outputs. The ORSA must be knowledgeable about operational and institutional readiness issues and maintain rapid data retrieval and analysis capabilities. The analytical products generated will include comprehensive examinations of defense strategies, force structures, modernization plans, and budget considerations. Participation in Continuity of Operations (COOP) exercises at off-site locations may be required, and the contractor must be prepared to operate off-site during national emergencies. Travel expectations for this position are minimal, with less than 10% travel anticipated.
