The Operations Scheduler will ensure that work is performed on-time and within specified customer, compliance, safety, and operational performance metrics. The successful candidate will maintain a holistic view of work to be completed at all times, identifying and recommending solutions for resolving work capacity issues in the most efficient, cost-effective, and safe manner. The primary objective of the Operations Scheduler is to build and manage a 0 - 12+ week book of work, developing and handing off a prioritized, compliant, executable 2-week schedule to the Work Coordination function for final adjustment and execution by field teams. In this role, the Operations Scheduler will plan a multi-week work schedule based on evaluation of work demands and prioritization, considering various factors such as work types, job priorities, resource availability, customer expectations, and permitting requirements. The Scheduler will manage personnel, equipment, and material resource availability over a multi-week timeframe, ensuring that work assignments are available to crews across the region. This includes decision-making to reallocate resources as needed, optimizing contract and employee resource selection to minimize costs while maximizing schedule adherence, customer satisfaction, safety, and compliance. Additionally, the Operations Scheduler will analyze scheduling and work assignment performance to forecast resource utilization for the upcoming quarter, identifying opportunities for resource reallocations and operational improvements.
