About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead the Standby Trade Operations Team within Commercial Banking Operations. This role involves managing teams, developing business strategies, and improving processes while ensuring compliance with risk management protocols. The Senior Operations Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve operational objectives and foster a culture of talent development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop teams of individual contributors and managers in Operations.
  • Work with experienced management to develop and execute business strategies.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development.
  • Develop and implement business unit strategies.
  • Provide expertise for technical, operational, and processing functions.
  • Determine appropriate strategy and actions for Operations management to meet deliverables.
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with moderate complexity.
  • Collaborate and influence professionals at all levels, including experienced managers.
  • Lead the team to achieve objectives.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders and internal partners.
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations.
  • Develop a culture of talent development to meet business objectives.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Operations experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 3+ years of management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Trade Operations.
  • Experience with Trade products (e.g., collections, commercial trade, standby letters of credit).
  • Experience in Commercial Loan Operations or underwriting process.
