About the position

The Operations Services Division Regional Manager at the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is responsible for overseeing and managing the Operations Services Division (OSD) programs, policies, budgets, and operations for the region. This role involves providing strategic and operational support, facilitating program development, and ensuring compliance with relevant statutes and policies. The position requires strong leadership skills to guide regional operations staff and contribute to the Division's mission and vision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative management and strategic support to the region.
  • Manage and direct the implementation of program services in the region.
  • Provide division and regional leadership through participation in management teams.
  • Facilitate the development and continuous improvement of OSD programs and projects.
  • Provide supervision and leadership for regional operations staff.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of managerial or supervisory experience in finance, human resources, safety, or related activities.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial management processes.
  • Knowledge of strategic and operational planning procedures.
  • Ability to interpret and apply related policies, procedures, rules, laws, and regulations.
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to create a respect- and safety-focused culture.
  • Leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Communication skills to effectively present complex information.
  • Skills in all standard Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Conflict management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field.
  • Managerial experience in administering and delivering multiple programs.
  • Knowledge of natural resource issues.
