About the position

The Operations Specialist for Access & Patient Experience at ColumbiaDoctors plays a crucial role in supporting organizational goals through project management, technical support, and analytical decision-making. This position is highly visible and involves collaboration with department leadership, managers, staff, and providers to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Research, propose, and develop tools to gauge performance and support goal formulation for improvement.
  • Conduct operational assessments to analyze processes and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and presentations for stakeholders to address operational challenges.
  • Prepare and disseminate evaluation surveys to gather stakeholder feedback on various initiatives.
  • Monitor and maintain intradepartmental communication channels for policy guidance and compliance.
  • Participate in educational efforts related to workflow changes and new initiatives across the clinical enterprise.
  • Provide administrative support to Project Managers to enhance operational support for internal stakeholders.
  • Support practice, access, and quality-related projects and assist with their implementation.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement performance improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Mentor staff to maintain a patient-centered environment and participate in interdisciplinary committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in problem assessment and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver high-level presentations for management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse staff and patient populations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) or similar software.
