About the position

The Operations Specialist-Client Solutions position at the Bank of Tampa is responsible for delivering high-quality service to clients and bank personnel within the Enterprise Payments Operations team. This role involves handling various operational functions, including client support for online and mobile banking, wire transfer processing, and credit/debit card support. The specialist will play a critical role in ensuring client satisfaction and operational efficiency by utilizing their knowledge of banking processes and maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding client service and ensure client satisfaction with a friendly demeanor.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador to internal and external clients, providing a professional experience.
  • Obtain knowledge of credit and debit card programs and wire transfer processing to perform daily tasks.
  • Assess client issues by asking detailed questions to determine the best resolution.
  • Conduct research and troubleshoot issues before escalation when necessary.
  • Authenticate clients and comply with company guidelines to protect against fraud and identity theft.
  • Support office personnel with tasks associated with various operational departments.
  • Develop rapport with clients by being proactive and timely with requests and problem resolution.
  • Maintain confidentiality of clients' business and demonstrate knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
  • Adapt interpersonal style to diverse individuals and groups in various situations.
  • Communicate effectively with all organizational levels and participate in training programs to improve skills.
  • Handle a high volume of calls by multi-tasking and prioritizing effectively.

Requirements

  • 1 year of client service experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • PC proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office suite
  • Self-motivated and proactive

Nice-to-haves

  • 2-year degree preferably with a business or finance focus
  • Experience working in a banking environment
  • Experience in accounting/balancing or equivalent
  • Experience with Fiserv Premier software system
  • Client phone service experience
  • Experience in support areas such as Deposit Operations or Wire Transfers
