About the position

The Operations Specialist Energy at AtkinsRalis plays a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient operations within the energy sector. This position involves initiating and processing procedure changes, developing work control documents, and facilitating discussions on job hazards. The specialist will support the Operations Manager and Lead in administrative tasks, maintain operational databases, and produce reports to enhance shift operations. The role is integral to maintaining compliance with safety documentation and overseeing support personnel activities.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates and processes immediate procedure changes and standard procedure revisions.
  • Initiates, develops and processes work control documents, lockout/tagouts and job hazard analysis.
  • Researches plant documents and determines safe isolation points for maintenance work.
  • Facilitates discussions with subject matter experts regarding job hazards and necessary controls.
  • Assists Operations Manager and Operations Lead with administrative tasks for non-exempt personnel.
  • Maintains data and documents in operations databases.
  • Develops operations documents to support shift operations.
  • Assists with facility notifications and administrative duties.
  • Maintains operations documents and essential drawings.
  • Produces various reports in support of shift operations.
  • Assists the Engineering department in developing Operations drawings and graphics.
  • Develops and maintains metrics and tracking systems for facility performance.
  • Acts as a Person-in-Charge (PIC) for LAWMAST assembly evolutions as assigned.
  • Maintains compliance with safety documentation requirements.
  • Oversees activities of support personnel to ensure compliance with ESH&Q and facility-specific requirements.
  • Identifies potential occurrences or unusual conditions and reports them to the Operations Manager.
  • Collaborates with the Work Control Supervisor to develop work control packages for field implementation.
  • Ensures good housekeeping requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Experience in operations management or a related field.
  • Knowledge of safety documentation and procedures, including Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions and lead hazard analysis sessions.
  • Proficiency in maintaining operational databases and documentation.
