About the position

The Operations Specialist in the Global Network Operations Center will support player and employee-facing services for a leading entertainment company. This role involves monitoring communications, triaging incidents, and driving resolutions for network and system issues, ensuring service reliability for a global audience of gamers.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inbound communications from all streams to ensure incidents are identified and tracked.
  • Employ systems/network/cloud knowledge as a first responder to triage problems and improve accuracy of detection.
  • Drive player and user impacting issues to resolution.
  • Perform routine follow-ups on active incidents to ensure the resolution is progressing as expected.
  • Process routine requests for access, ACL, network, and systems maintenance.

Requirements

  • Fundamental knowledge of Linux, Networking, Monitoring, Alert Correlation Platforms, Cloud Services and Architecture, Service Operations Framework/Workflows, Logging, Source Control, CI/CD, Configuration Management, Container Computing, and Proxies and Load Balancing.
  • Ability to dig through metrics, logs, and whatever other data is available to triage and fix an incident.
  • Desire to collaborate with others to solve problems, share knowledge, and provide feedback.
  • Passion for providing critical insight to a process or problem and advocating for prioritization based on well-crafted analysis.
  • Ability to work with partners across all levels of the company to solve complex challenges and emergent issues.
