About the position

The Operations Specialist provides direct support to the Director of Operations and other Health Professions Program Directors. The Operation Specialist ensures efficient and effective program operations to support current and future program and instructional initiatives and participates in activities to maintain compliance within Health Professions programs, LSSC and other external stakeholders. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's core values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating when interacting with students, employees, visitors, and community members.

Responsibilities

  • In coordination with the Director of Operations and Health Professions Directors, supports program initiatives, goals, outcomes; and external entity requirements.
  • Collect, analyze and evaluate student and program performance outcome data for reporting purposes, trend identification, and provide change recommendations internal and external to Health Professions programs and LSSC.
  • Maintain working knowledge of standards/criteria [to meet compliance requirements] of LSSC, all Health Professions Accreditation Commissions, Florida Board Licensures, and other oversight entities as appropriate.
  • Monitor program activities to ensure program attention to, evaluation of, and adherence to internal and external policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Identify and report compliance trends and vulnerabilities or risks of non-compliance.
  • Maintain Health Professions operational budgets by monitoring, reconciling, forecasting, and providing monthly reports.
  • Manage, track, process and report bi-monthly Health Professions faculty and adjunct hours including overloads in FLAC.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Program Directors on maintenance of accreditation, affiliations agreements, contracts and vendor agreements to include tracking and reporting deadlines.
  • Attend and assist with meetings, seminars, workshops and events as requested to support Health Professions programs and LSSC, faculty, staff and students.
  • Participate in College committees as requested or assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Organizational Management, or related field, from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in Business Operations, Organizational Management, or related field.
  • Experience in Higher Education considered a plus.
