About the position

The Operations Specialist I position at Farm Credit of Southern Colorado is a temporary role focused on delivering exceptional customer service to clients at the Monte Vista office. The specialist will handle various operational tasks, including cash management, loan post-closing, and facilities maintenance, while ensuring compliance with company policies. This full-time position requires approximately 40 hours of work per week and is eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely and gracious manner.
  • Direct incoming call traffic as needed and assist customers with eCommerce products.
  • Post and process drafts, payments, ACHs, and incoming and outgoing wires.
  • Run and verify daily reports, communicating with the Accounting Department.
  • Review, book, and disburse closed loans, filing and recording legal documents.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate coverages and documentation on existing loans.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and oversee office building and grounds maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of clerical/teller/banking/office experience or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service skills and knowledge of customer service principles.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with others and maintain an organized workspace.
  • Skill in listening and resolving customer issues.
