About the position

The Operations Specialist II in the Labor & Delivery department at Salem Health is responsible for managing communications and supporting departmental operations. This full-time role involves working 12-hour shifts and requires strong interpersonal skills to maintain awareness of departmental activities and assist in various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications within the department.
  • Maintain awareness of departmental happenings and provide support as needed.
  • Assist in administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations in the Labor & Delivery department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Recent office experience or administrative assistant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
