About the position

The position involves providing direct support to the Operations Department for all program-related functions at the CSOPTC. The candidate will manage the registration of users, assist in program development, issue ID cards, and ensure the proper management of recreational equipment. A key aspect of the role is delivering exceptional customer service to all guests and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Run the Athlete Center Registration Desk.
  • Greet and register all training center guests, verifying signatures and age requirements.
  • Maintain clean work area and enter biographical data into the CRM system accurately.
  • Adjust rooming assignments and add unexpected program participants in the CRM system as directed.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for information from athletes, coaches, and visitors.
  • Answer telephones and direct inquiries to the appropriate department.
  • Coordinate check-ins and checkouts with housekeeping services.
  • Run checkout reports and manage participant credit IDs upon departure.
  • Perform roving patrol duties within the Athlete Center to ensure security.
  • Make sound decisions during emergencies and report critical incidents to management.
  • Investigate accidents/incidents and complete necessary reports.
  • Monitor and operate the fire alarm system and assist during emergency evacuations.
  • Coordinate transportation adjustments with CSOPTC Transportation.
  • Check out meeting room keys and duplicate dorm room keys as needed.
  • Contact Sports Medicine in emergencies and report maintenance issues.
  • Monitor participant behavior and report concerns to management.
  • Investigate inquiries from the Security department regarding the Symmetry system.

Requirements

  • Current American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
  • Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of lifeguarding experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with users and staff at all levels.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of experience in a sport-related field, preferably in a service-related position.
  • Computer literate, including Windows, Word, Publisher, Excel, etc.
  • Skill in data entry with high attention to detail and data integrity.
  • Ability to work independently of direct supervision.

Nice-to-haves

  • Some college or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • First Aid, CPR, and/or AED certifications preferred.
