About the position

The Learning Operations Specialist at BAE Systems is responsible for supporting the logistics and operational needs of learning and organizational development services. This role involves coordinating vendor-led learning events, managing registrations, and analyzing training data to support the enterprise-wide learning strategy. The Specialist will ensure operational excellence in delivering products and services to customers, while also providing actionable insights based on data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with business leads and stakeholders to plan, schedule, and manage logistics for virtual and in-person learning programs.
  • Manage relationships and operations with vendors to ensure contracts are up-to-date and services are procured accurately.
  • Conduct analyses of learning data, evaluations, return on investment, and other key development metrics.
  • Compile learning metrics, review reports, and assess trends.
  • Maintain and analyze metrics that support the enterprise-wide learning strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Solutions team on the evolution of learning dashboards and metrics.
  • Provide data, analysis, insights, and data visualization support for stakeholder reporting requirements.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, including creating project plans and communications.
  • Coordinate updates for Talent Solutions knowledge-based articles and review article usage.
  • Reconcile inter-company billing, process expense reports, create purchase orders, and verify invoices.
  • Develop collaborative relationships within the department and with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of related experience (equivalent experience may be substituted for the degree).
  • Strong project management, business acumen, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to partner effectively with internal and external partners and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
  • Ability to deliver attentive, responsive, and diplomatic customer service.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in learning and organizational development.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
