HII Mission Technologies is seeking an Operations Specialist (OS) to support program flight operations as an Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Subject Matter Expert (SME). This role is critical in a small, close-knit crew environment, where the OS will provide expertise in support of mission requirements. The position involves coordinating with Department of Defense (DoD) entities and agencies to facilitate cutting-edge product development, ensuring that client capabilities meet both current and future objectives. A strong knowledge of ISR operations, air navigation, aircraft mission planning, and aircraft survivability is essential. Recent operational experience is a must, as the role requires managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision. The OS will also be required to deploy for up to four months to remote sites under austere conditions, supporting multiple Combatant Commands including EUCOM, Indo-PACOM, and AFRICOM. The primary responsibilities of the Operations Specialist include performing mission planning and operations support to both external and internal customers before and during missions, as well as conducting flight following on the Joint Operations Command Watch Floor. The OS will maintain communications with aircraft during all flight phases using IRC chat or beyond the line of sight satellite communications (BLoS SATCOM). Additionally, the OS will support the review and development of collection decks, Air Tasking Orders (ATO), Special Instructions (SPINS), and other documents relevant to major joint air, ground, and maritime operations. The role also involves deploying OCONUS to work with US Military Forces and/or Foreign Allied Military Forces in Tactical Operations Centers, developing and delivering mission briefings, executing mission debriefings, and compiling after-action reports (AAR) as required. The OS will provide technical, tactical, and operational Signal Intelligence, Electronic Warfare Analysis, and mission planning support to customers. Real-time communication and distribution of multi-source information with aircrew and ground assets during all flight phases will be conducted via Tactical Data Link and chat, or BLoS SATCOM. The OS will operate ground-based communications systems and maintain appropriate electronic and hard copy products, reports, and records. There may also be opportunities to provide guidance and training to less experienced personnel, along with performing other duties as assigned or required.
